@helen helen Once you use your Employment Authorization Document (EAD) from your Adjustment of Status (AOS), you effectively lose your F-1 status. Choose wisely!

To add what already has been said, if for any reason your 485 gets denied, you can’t revert back to F1 status.

@Dr. U will RFE be considered denied ? Just asking as I am also in similar position. CRP since December 2023, PD June, 2022.

@Dr. U sorry to bother you again. let's say someone is traveling outside US with EAD and AP whilst i485 is in CRP state. what would happen if there is an RFE. Will the immigration allow the person back to US ? please let me know. thank You

@yurrrrr skeet They will not wait. Once the deadline is over and response not received, they will deny.
