I-824 Approved!!
My I-824 has been approved! We received the NVC letter in our emails at 10pm last night. Though it doesn’t show the I-824 as approved, it updated my I-130 in USCIS to say it has been transferred to NVC (day 96 from filing I-824). I am a U.S. citizen and my spouse is Mexican. We also did not expedite either case. #I-824 #I-130

@Sal Ce I filed the I-824 after receiving the I-130 approval. This is usually only filed when a mistake is made causing it to be held by USCIS

@gy gy Most people file I-824 because they made a mistake by filling out 61a and 61b when it should have been one or the other. This causes it to be withheld from NVC until you file I-824 to have it continue it’s process. If yours is at NVC, you do not need to file I-824 for this reason

@Guyzo yung I mailed the paperwork to my designated office. To do the I-824, it’s best to follow the instructions from the USCIS site for that document. Once that it is sent in, it is just waiting or expediting if you are eligible

@K Léon it is my case i made a mistake i file out 61a and 61b ...it because i want to file I-824...my case is approuved but not send to nvc...my approuved notice mention that i need to file I-824 for Ask USCIS to send my case to nvc

@tyti A When you visit the USCIS website, it’ll tell you which office to send it to. Since I’m from Seattle, I sent it to the Chicago office
