I-797 approval notice valid until 12/09/2022
what does that mean? does it mean that we have to schedule K1. isa interview at the embassy before that date? please help. My fiancee will graduate in June 2023. can I schedule the interview in January for example? or since the notice expires in december, the interview has to be prior to the 9th?

The validity of the approval notice is the timeframe you have to process the remainder of our K-1 visa application there in the beneficiary country of residence . Ideally, this period of four months (a default validation Time) provides you enough time to finish the whole process.
But if you fail to do so due to unforeseen circumstances, the consular officer will review your case and extend it as they see fit. you may never need to have your petition extended, but it is there if needed.
