my c31 still pending since Jan 2026 no update nothing.did you vwa is approved ?

I filed mine March,21st 2025 still pending and took Fingerprint last week.

are they still doing the extension? i honestly hope they reinstate it soon

when is c31 you have to wait for vawa approval to get work permit

if you want your work authorization fast, you’d need to file a C09 category. C31, you only get it when you VAWA is approved and that’s a long wait! file C09 immediately

@prince jmd I have applied for renewal on August 18 2025 and still waiting.

@Sean kan I filled vawa under C09 catagory on Jan 2025 it's been like 19months my I765 still not approved yet what will be the reason

@Joy rdx that’s really weird. are you sure it’s a C09? please double check. also what’s it saying online? I mean the status of the EAD when you track it?

@Sean kan yes it's CO9 catagory.when I check online it just showing my case was received and wavied the filing fee. also my lowyer Said he put an enquiry it's been like more then 45 days now no reply so far can you please guide me regarding this

@Joy rdx that is extremely weird. can you get your congressman to check on it for you? also, what’s the status of vawa?

@Sean kan "My VAWA (I-360) was received back in October 2024 and biometrics are cleared, so that part is moving along fine. The issue is just my I-765 work permit. When my I-485 transferred to the specialized office last spring, the I-765 was accidentally left behind in Nebraska and has been frozen ever since. I'm going to look into reaching out to my congressman like you suggested to see if they can shake it loose!"

@Joy rdx ask your lawyer if you can file another work permit. that might be faster but ask your lawyer
