hey guys, I applied wava 6 months before , fingerprint were taken 5 months ago, still didn’t get nether EAD nor Ssn , how long it takes , Vermont Center

i applied wava too Jan 2021, fingerprint and prima facie September, Vermont center and nothing yet!!!!!

don’t mean to be the party pooper but vawa cases are one of the longest cases. I know of people their case took like 2 years to process and get GC.

@Chrissy B is correct. Vawa is time consuming to process. I filed in Sept 2019. Didn’t hear a peep, besides getting Prima Facie’s every 6 months or so. Then April 2021, I got a RFE (more proof), sent that back in Sept 2021, the next month I got a notification that a new card was being produced. Last Friday, I got the official notification that my Vawa had been approved & that they’re mailing out my EAD. All that long time, even though I had applied for an EAD twice, I never received one, now all of a sudden, there’s all this activity on my case. Just try to stay busy & not drive yourself crazy w/the waiting game. We’re here to support you. Good luck! ☺️

@ k p , but my Lawyer said I’ll receive EAD between 5-11month after receiving Recept number , they ask me RFE but I didn’t sent it yet ,

@Ali Muhammad ~ That’s why I follow other stories on this app. Lawfully is saying ONE thing, but ppl are experiencing something else. I know what I WANT to happen, but I’m remaining realistic. it probably won’t arrive for some time. WHENEVER it does arrive, I’ll DEFINITELY come back to let you know how long it took for me to get the card in my hands. 👍

My EAD/AP took from July 2020 to dec 2021. Yes, over 16 month! Lawer said 6 month…expedited, tried everything… Anything can happen. It is unfortunate and not fair, but you’re not alone. Buckle up for a long ride and do yourself a favor to stop checking multiple times a day. It takes time, different for different people. Be hopeful and thankful if it will be sooner. The good news is that the new combo cards are valid for 2 years until further notice and the c(31) EAD will be for 2 years too. Good luck!
