I-765 EAD outside normal processing time
Hi all, I recently submitted a case inquiry for my EAD after passing the “receipt date for a case inquiry”, only to receive a reply from USCIS saying my case is still within normal processing times. It’s actually well outside the published processing times currently on the USCIS website, and in any case the e-Request system only actually allows you to submit a case inquiry if you’ve gone beyond normal processing times. Has anyone else has this issue? And, more broadly, for anyone whose EAD went beyond normal processing times, how far past the upper range of the time estimate did you finally have your application adjudicated?

Hey, what’s your processing center and your receipt date? Also is the EAD based on AOS (485)?

I’ve got a standalone EAD request, no associated I-485 or PD in my case. Receipt date 9/9/2020 in Vermont EAC where the receipt date for a case inquiry for “all other applications for employment authorization” is 9/27/2020. Frustrating but I’m sure others are also struggling with being outside normal processing times with these delays!
