@OCS C I asked my workplace to write a “support letter” where they stated my work is essential for the progress of our development programs; nothing major, 1.5-page write-up

@Immi2021 GC it only says “Card is being produced” and no explicit mentioning of the expedite

is this your initial ead application or renewal? Did you recieve expedite referral number once you expedite or you just directly got email to fax evidence?

@bombastic X: Gotcha, I had provided a similar support letter from employer and the expedite request got approved on January 13th and the online status still indicates "Expedite Request Approved", I did also receive an email from the USCIS officer to whom the expedite request was assigned, and the email stated we approved your application for EAD on January 12 and card is in production, if I don't receive it within 30 days then to call USCIS. Fingers crossed now.

@M B It is my 4th EAD, but this I-485 application I have (family-based) is a new application so the I-765 is also new. However, I did have a previous I-485 which was employment-based and also had an EAD with that one. So technically, it was a renewal in the same category. Also, I didn’t get a referral number, straight email asking to fax and there they included the referral number

@fuki keke the letter I got was drafted by our company’s HR and signed by our department director with the company letterhead. I am honestly not sure if I am allowed to share it as is, my company is big pharma with a lot of bureaucracy. But this gist is simple: 1st paragraph-this is an EAD support letter, 2nd- this is what the company does, 3rd- this is how this person is essential for on-going projects; 4th-please help, that’s pretty much it

@sonam sherpa I personally called the main USCIS customer service number and asked for a live agent. I might have said infopass, not sure 100%. Then, once you are connected with a person, you say I want to expedite my I-765 renewal as a healthcare worker. The agent asked for A number, receipt number, address on file, and email address for contact. That’s it; it was a surprisingly smooth process
