they gonna ask you about your RFE just sent them all documents you have just prove them that your marriage is real and sent them a divorce judgment and write a cover letter and ask your parents to write that cover letter as well and sent it to them I also have a similar situation and I did the same thing now yesterday I got my 10 years Gc

My question is, what if you already did your I751 interview and still waiting for response but your spouse has been asking for a divorce for a while now and you are also tired of his blackmail and troubles, and ready to give him the divorce he’s asking for? I know finalizing a divorce could take a while, how can one go about it? Thanks 🙏🏾

@tom G I did it two weeks ago. we missed some questions, spouse has some memory problems and we also submitted a letter from his doctor about that.

@Olawumi O Sorry about what you are going through. Were you separated and questioned individually at your interview? What kinda of evidence did you submit?

@Rocco Forté yes we were separated for the interview. we took lease, medical and auto insurance, utility bills, pictures, retirement benefits details, we don’t have accounts together but spouse is POD on my account, so I printed that and gave them

@Olawumi O How many questions did you guys miss? what were the questions? Were any of you married before? They hate when couples don’t have accounts together. Did you file joint taxes? Is anyone listed as beneficiary on the others retirement account? I sent them 26 months worth of bank statements showing me and my ex using the account for our everyday purchases, rent, bills, restaurants etc

we had two accounts before that spouse overdrafted so we decided not to open joint accounts anymore. I submitted those. it’s both our first marriages. We have 5 years tax filed together. Spouse is retired with the Veterans Affairs and he doesn’t have a retirement account but I’m listed as spouse and we submitted a letter for that. Spouse is listed on my retirement account as beneficiary. They asked me about his medications, I couldn’t remember them. We weee separated a few times because spouse went to jail twice. The officer asked me about the cases he went to jail for and I told her and that was why we got separated around that time.

@tom G if I don’t hear from them in a month, do you think it would be safe to file the divorce. I’ve been through a lot, seen a therapist for a while and I really just want this to end. I spoke to a few lawyers about my options but they said to wait to hear from the USCIS. but we know the uscis love to take their time.

@Olawumi O I think I have pinpointed some issues with your case. There seems to be a big age and financial gap. You guys lived apart at least once during the course of your conditional residency. Give me your email, let’s talk.

@Rocco Forté When you say in your post, give them all documents from your separation until the divorce is finalized, you didn’t let them know before you had the divorce decree in your hand about separation?

@A B I mean give them documents from the day you filed to the day you got separated. You are not required to tell them about separation because people can separate and reconcile. You are required to inform them about a divorce tho.
