I 751 case updated to show fingerprints were taken
I just got an update on my i751 and it seems that they used my old biometrics. Any idea how long does it take for uscis to provide a decision on the application?
Edit: I applied 03/2020 so it has been a year.

I applied for i751 on august 2019 and was given 18 months extension after that in March 2021 they gave me another 1 year extension till March 2022. The following month April’s 2021 I saw case was updated finger print was taken without any appointment. Then in same April 2021 I got a letter to submit more evidence, I did submit all they requested. July 30, 2021 I saw new card was ordered to be produced; later that night I saw case updated to show finger print was taken within 24 hours. What should I do? I’m confused.
abdul haadiOct 23, 2022
Yes, sometimes they used the old finger prints and there is no need to worry and it’s mean that they are proceeding your case and currently working on it

hey I just got an update in the system saying fingerprint taken. they used my old biometrics. how long after that does it take for them to process the green card? I applied back in 2018.
abdul haadiNov 20, 2022
I filed my my I-751 in 2017. 18 month extension received in 2018. 2019 submitted my request of evidence. After waiting for so long finally receive a notification in October 2022 regarding Update of my fingerprints. But still not sure how much more it is going to take. I heard they are speeding up the process but still not sure how fast.

yeah looks like we’re in the same boat. I got an notification oct 2022 which is last month about biometrics being used from previous. what’s the next step after this?
abdul haadiNov 21, 2022
they might going to schedule an interview or make a decision on the case by waving the interview.. keep an eye.
ozge AydinNov 21, 2022
hopefully it won’t take long. Sending out good vibes! good luck
abdul haadiNov 21, 2022

lmk the updates w ur case.
abdul haadiNov 21, 2022
I will. Did your Attorney told you about writing an application to the Senate of your state according to your area zipcode. The second option is UCISC Ombudsman Services. And the last and final option is Lawsuit.
I just write an application to the senate of my state.
ozge AydinNov 22, 2022
No I filled out an form online uscis.com for forms running outside of usual process times. I’m going to ask her today about writing an application to the senate. I mean it’s been since 2018. people who applied after us got their green cards already 🤷🏻♀️
abdul haadiNov 22, 2022
yes, my sister applied after me and got her green card plus recently got her citizenship as well.
ozge AydinNov 22, 2022
yeah idk why our case is taking so long. what did u write to the senate?
abdul haadiNov 22, 2022
In the application there questions regarding your USCIS case. Fill that out for seeking help with the case. Enter when the case was first submitted and what was the progress with dates.
ozge AydinNov 22, 2022
do u have the link?
abdul haadiNov 22, 2022
check on the offical website of the Senate of your state. Check according to your zipcode. Application is on their website.
ozge AydinNov 22, 2022

abdul haadiNov 22, 2022

abdul haadiNov 22, 2022

abdul haadiNov 22, 2022

ozge AydinDec 7, 2022
hey anything yet? did u get an extention on ur case? my entendions expired too😤
abdul haadiDec 7, 2022
yes, I already got my extension.
ozge AydinDec 8, 2022
they never sent my extention .. where do I go for that?
abdul haadiDec 13, 2022
you have to schedule an appointment with USCIS. And you can get an extension from the USCIS.
abdul haadiDec 18, 2022
I heard USCIS is working on Citizensship and I-485 resident status. These two cases are their priority for now. that's the reason I-751 and other cases are taking so much time.
S CJan 10, 2023
I have similar situation. I submitted my application in Jan 2020 and the status changed from " ready to schedule an interview" to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken" in Oct 2022.
In this case, I thought we were able to apply for N-400 ? Or should I ?
abdul haadiJan 10, 2023
yes, you can apply for N-400 citizenship even if you case is pending.
S CJan 10, 2023
That's good to know. And I think you should be able to, don't you ? Have you not taken any action ?
abdul haadiJan 10, 2023
I already filed my N-400 in October/2020 and got interview in 2021. I am just waiting to get my I-751 to completed.
S CJan 10, 2023
Thank you so much for the information. It's just weird that even after applying N-400 and had the interview, the i-751 hasn't completed yet. I really appreciate your thoughts on this. I guess I should take some action to make it move a little.
abdul haadiJan 10, 2023
contact congress for seeking assistance with your case.
also, they are different cases that's the reason it's taking longer.
S CJan 10, 2023
Thank you!!! Hopefully, I will have the card produced soon.
abdul haadiJan 10, 2023
I hope we all will have our cases to be completed asap.
