Whenever I called, did they get in touch? I talked to them. They always told me that it was eighteen months then later they said its 35 month and whenever I call them they always said tour case is on the spot just waiting for your interview date

i751s are not a huge priority for USCIS because you can still and work and travel with no issues once you use the letter and the i551 stamp in your passport. Outside of that, if you meet the timeline to file for citizenship, you can do that in hopes that they will process both at the same time.

kim AJan 2, 2022
do you have to wait exact 3yrs having a GC or 2years 9monrh for you to file n-400
kim AJan 2, 2022
@jojo really immigration came to pay you visit, that’s strange, did you have any immigration issue at all?
jo joJan 2, 2022
@kim A. they said there were some inconsistencies in my adjustment of status interview…that they were at my apartment to verify
jo joJan 2, 2022
@kim , the officers also said they got a tip that my marriage is not real ..and that’s why they are at my apartment to verify. the officers told me that they do get those tips and most of those tips are false tips..after interviewing my wife, she was out of town then, the officers spoke with her on the phone and she confirmed that our marriage is real and binafide. they went to my apartment office and the manager confirmed that we stay together
Dixie GirlJan 2, 2022
@ jo jo don’t worry your head. having a child together is 90% proof of a bonafide marriage, u need more than 50% to get approved. i learned this from a USCIS person.
Dixie GirlJan 2, 2022
@ Mr waiting, yes. just I-751
Pinky DJan 2, 2022
Israel Israel, when did you complete your interview? At this point it’s just a matter of when USCIS will hopefully approve and send your green card. If you have an urgent need to travel, you can call the USCIS number and say “infopass”. They will ask you if it’s urgent or not. If it’s urgent then they will have someone call you usually within 72 hours. If it’s not urgent, you can expect to wait up to 30 days just to get the call to get an appointment to go to your local office for the stamp.
Pinky DJan 2, 2022
@ Kim A. USCIS’ website says the wait is 3 years from the time you are married. If you filed your i-751 and it’s outside the processing time and you have reached your 3 year marriage mark, you can file N-400 which may help to push your case along. (The N-400 usually gets processed faster than i-751)They will then typically adjudicate both at the same time.

thank you pinky l completed my interview June 22 2021
Pinky DJan 2, 2022
ok, you should definitely make the appointment to get the I-551 stamp. Hope they send your card soon.
kim AJan 2, 2022
@pinky D I got married June 13 2018 so that mean I’m due for citizenship but my GC is just 2years and 4 months old, I will speak with my lawyer tomorrow and get more information about it. thanks ☺️
Pinky DJan 2, 2022
@Kim. You are most definitely qualified to file for Citizenship. One of the requirements of citizenship being granted is that the conditions must be removed from your green card. This is why when you file i-751 and still pending and you then file N-400, they process them together or on occasion, they process the i751 first. In instances when i751 is not strong and gets denied then the n-400 gets denied also and that’s one of the risks of filing them together. But if you have a solid case, it’s usually in your favor to file the N-400 to move things along and end up doing one interview.
