my transfer happened May-2024 been 11+ months still waiting for Approval its a lengthy process 😊

from what I can understand trump stopped all this approvals indefinetively for asylum and refugees I’ve been seeing post about this check on the White House executive orders page 7 you will see this I know it’s sad I hope all this gets resolved

it applies to only refugees under the USRAP program. Nothing is suspended for asylees petitioning for their spouses and children

@Roku sattu Between the NVC online portal and says that my case this ready called me so that I would give my daughter's contact number but I gave it wrong a month ago and I can't contact the embassy

Hi edison Rojas When you filled the I 730 form, you must have given your email, from that email you should email the embassy where your case is now and tell in the email that you have given the wrong number by mistake, this is your correct number, and it will work, I had also made some mistakes, then later it was fixed like this, good luck.

hey @john doe any update on your case? Yesterday, my case status changed to “Case was Transferred to International Office’Consulate” and this was the first update ever since I filed. Today, the case status changed to “Case was transferred and A new Office Has Jurisdiction”. I am very confused about this! At first I thought that it was sent to the embassy but wasn’t sure how this could be possible before the case is approved. The applicant is outside of the US. if anyone can share their insights from their experience, I would really appreciate it!

@A.I I the uscis sending your case your home country uscis office, they are clear your case here, you get it the interview date soon in your home country, The interview date of the person for whom you have filed will come. If he clears the interview then he will get the aslyee visa here.

hey @Moh m did you get your approval yet? My case is in a weird status. I reached out to live agent and she said that my case is in transit to Refugee Operations Domestic External request office. however the transfer notice that I received says “ Asylee-based form I-730 Petitions are transferred to a USCIS international office or DOS Consulate office in the country where your beneficiary lives” Has anyone else had their Asylee-based I-730 transferred to Refugee Operations Domestic External request office? Also my case has not yet been approved.

Hey @A.I I , I haven’t received my approval yet either. My case is still in process as well. From what I understand, the transfer to the Refugee Operations Domestic External Request Office is a normal part of the process before sending it to the appropriate international office or consulate. It seems like USCIS has different internal routing steps, but it should continue moving forward. I know the waiting can be frustrating, but based on similar cases, this step doesn’t indicate an issue just part of the procedure. Hopefully, will all get an update soon 🙏

@Moh m @A.I I I haven’t received any updates yet, as of today it is about 50 days since the last update, no new details. I contacted the respective consulate, USCIS international office and NVC, none of them got my case yet. Only can wait to see.

@Khan 804 @Roku sattu today I received notice approval for my I-730 and it was approved on March 26 2025. However, my case status online does not show that it was approved. It still shows “Feb 11,2025 Case Transferred and A New Office Has Jurisdiction” as the most recent action. also, the approval notice does not have “I-797, Notice of Action” header so I am not sure if it’s a genuine document. I have already made NVC inquiry, so I am waiting to hear from them. but I am a little bit nervous about the fact that I don’t see any updates online. if anyone has any insight as to what this might mean, I would appreciate it!

@A.I I That is a very good news, finally someone got approval after the new process. If it doesn’t show, it should be alright, because it is a new process, online systems have not made the changes yet maybe.

@A.I I I did a NVC inquiry and they said that they recieved my petition and it is waiting for data entey, however I didn’t recieve any approval letter from USCIS yet, what is your situation with NVC?

@john doe congratulations! still waiting for NVC to do data entry for my case. not sure how long this process takes, may be @Khan 804 or anyone with information can help us.

@A.I I NVC take 60 days to issue visa number and invoice id number then they transfer the case consulate of country you from depends how much consulate is busy that.

@john doe I haven’t yet received my case number. The last time I submitted an inquiry, they told me that my case was waiting to be entered in their system. ( that was two weeks ago)

@A.I I I inquired and they gave me a NVC case number. But I still didn’t get any mails from USCIS about my approval yet.
