@A I Interview waivers are risk based. They can’t just hand you a 10 year greencard without an interview by USCIS or even the state department.

I see. So come my 2nd anniversary, I should definitely prepare to wait for an interview. Was just being hopeful, I know it’s a long process

my friend reached his 2 years wedding anniversary while he was waiting for his aos application to get approved. around 17th month he received a medical rfe and got approved for 10 years green card without an interview. This just happened 3 months ago.

@Zhar KS when you say 17 months, before 2 year anniversary he was approved for 10 years greencard?

@Rocco Forté you’ve started this talk again. I got a 10yrs green card without an interview and had divorces lol. just stop, the policy of this administration is very diff from previous years

@Rocco Forté when interview waivers started you kept arguing with me that it was not happening that was early last year but pretty much 65 to 70 percent of applicants now are getting their green cards without an interview, I just got my 10yrs without an interview and had divorces here in America. my buddy who works for uscis told me that current law uscis is using to waive interview is 8 CFR341.2(a)(1). which insinuates that an officer can waive an interview if the applicant has given and the officer has all sufficient documents needed to make a decision. @Al to ans ur question yes you can get 10yrs without an interview, I did and I know two others who did too

@Sal Sal So it’s a risk based decision? There are a lot of other factors that influence people getting interviews waived.

@Sanju Khatri noo, his overall proces took 17 months for the approval. He applied almost a year after his marriage.

thank you all for your input. I understand that not all interviews are waived and also the processing time is unpredictable. I think I provided enough information but I’m sure it also depends on the person who reviews. Hope I can be one of the lucky ones
