I-485 Timeline after Interview Waiver
Hello, what is the typical timeline for EB1C I-485 approval once the priority date is current and the interview is waived (per Emma)?
I filed concurrently with medicals and have received 3 FTA0 updates on my I-485, most recently on Feb 19. My case is at the Newark Field Office (non local FO). My 2018 PD was ported from EB2.
Is it common for I-765 and I-131 to be skipped in favor of a direct green card approval? Not much recent API activity on either.
Thanks for any insights.

Hey! It seems we're in the same boat. I actually submitted all my cases just a few days before you did. Mine was an EB-1B. Emma also told me my interview was waived, and my case was transferred to the St. Albans field office. No other updates since Jan 22 though. Curious to hear if anyone has had similar experience.

@Another Scientist thanks for sharing! it seems things usually stall at this stage but you’re about a month ahead of me:) Please keep me posted.

With EB1C, PD current, medical filed, and interview waived, approval often comes within a few weeks to a few months after the case reaches the field office. Multiple recent FTA0 updates usually mean background checks cleared and the file is in final review. At this stage, silence followed by a sudden “New Card Is Being Produced” is common with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services.
Yes, it’s very common for I-765 and I-131 to be skipped if the I-485 is approvable. USCIS can go straight to green card approval and simply not adjudicate EAD/AP. Lack of movement on those forms is not a negative sign.

@Cafe Racer I just got my approval notice this morning. I had my third FTA0 update yesterday, so I was waiting for the official approval today. Indeed, it came right about 24 hours after the FTA0 update. Approval was for both my spouse and me. Hope you'll get your approval soon! I still see no movement on my i-765, but it's a moot at this point.
