I-485 Supplement J
I am planning to move within my company to a different team and accept a new job. The new job that I intend to take is same as what was originally used while filing for I-140. My current and new job will have the same SOC code. Under this situation, do I or the employer need to file a new I-485 Supplement J?
My I-140 is approved. I-485 has been with USCIS for more than 180 days.

As far as I know you do not need to file a supplemental because you are within your sponsor and of course you are within the scope of your approved PERM

I am also making a similar change but I already have my green card and it has not been 180 days since filing I485. I am trying to find some reassurance that it is okay to make this change within the company that sponsored me.

once you have your GC you can move anywhere - within the company or to a different company.
