I-485 Supplement A RFE
Has anyone received RFE for supplement A before? Why did my depandant get it and would we have to pay the $1,000 filling fee?

@Ola AJ Did you have your green card before you applied for your dependent? Did you use the service of an attorney?

Supplement A is for folks that had I140 pending or approved on or before 2001. USCIS has been giving some bogus RFE FOR 485 of late. Make sure to get a lawyer to respond to this RFE.

I think I figured out what happened, I ticked a box on page 4 of the I-485 that I was applying based on section 245(I). This is for people who were out of status when adjusting status. I will respond to them with a new I-485 form filled, add a cover letter to explain the mistake and add evidence that I was not out of status and the supplement A form doesn’t apply to us.

@Ola AJ Section 245(i): Section 245(i) is a specific section of the Immigration and Nationality Act (INA) that was created to provide a path for individuals who have violated immigration laws or entered without inspection to adjust their status to that of a lawful permanent resident. what did you tick when you applied for yours?
