I-485 Still waiting after intervew
We had our interview at the Newark Field Office on 10/10/2025, and it went well. Later that same day, I received an I-485 RFE from the Newark FO stating that they could not determine whether my husband met the financial requirements to sponsor me.
Our attorney responded to the RFE with the latest financial documents. This was surprising because we had originally submitted all required documents and carefully reviewed everything before filing.
Our I-130 was approved on 10/15/2025.
The field office confirmed that they received the RFE response, but it has now been 107 days with no update. Has anyone experienced a similar delay? At what point would it be appropriate to contact a congressman?

A post-interview I-485 RFE for financials is common, especially if the officer wanted updated income proof or clearer evidence that the sponsor meets the guidelines. Since your U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services system shows the RFE response was received and your I-130 is already approved, your case is likely just back in the adjudication queue at the USCIS Newark Field Office.
