I-485 status changed from RFE Received to "Fingerprints Were Taken" – Anyone else?
Hi everyone,
Since June 25th, my case status was "Response To USCIS' Request For Evidence Was Received." My RFE was regarding my medical exam (I-693) and confirmation that my job offer is still valid.
However, the status suddenly changed back to "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken."
Has anyone here had a similar experience?
Should I be concerned, or is this a common update before approval? Any insights would be greatly appreciated!

I also had medical rfe and after they received it they change to finger print was taken. after that no any response till date . its been almost a month

how long ago did you give you prints the first time? finger prints refresh is common before an adjudication where an officer is actively reviewing your case.

@The Dreamer My first fingerprints were taken back in September 2022, almost 4 years ago! Hopefully this fingerprint update means an adjudication is coming soon.

just a quickly one. We're you asked on your RFE to do another Medical Exam completely. Or resubmit the old same one you submitted before

Hi @strenger man. Pls was your RFE also to do a brand new Medical Exam and not to resubmit the same old one you submitted when you applied

@Daniel O Since my medical exam was only valid for 2 years, it had expired. I had to do a brand new medical exam completely and submit that one.

I got this same update too and few days after that my greencard was approved.

@owow dl not exactly! I never received an RFE. Since I have filed my application, I have only received two status updates and both are fingerprints.
