I-485 RFIE- I-130 Approved a year ago
Please I need suggestions and advice! My I-130 got approved a year ago immediately after my interview but I-485 is still in review. A month ago, I got an RFE in the mail(no update on the website and app) to resubmit another medical report because the previous one I submitted is incomplete(The new polio vaccine) which I did promptly. However, I didn’t get any update on the website or app if it was received or not. I got a notification today but l it says RFIE. I’m curious what is being requested again or is it the medical report RFE just being updated? I’m scared if it’s about my sponsorship, I don’t have a relationship with the person anymore and the number isn’t going through. what should I do? anyone experienced this before?#RFIE

you just need to wait for the letter to come. my RFIE came under the documents tab after 5 days and it was for my birth certificate

if it’s about your sponsor you need to get a new one fast… RFIEs are usually birth certificates, medical and sponsors.

Yes, I already have a new one. I know this is me jumping the gun but how do I approach this if that’s the case. write a letter and tell them I’m not using the formal?

wait for the letter and follow the instructions. they will tell you what they want from you and how they want it. don’t stress! @IB Ton

@IB Ton there's no way USCIS would ask for you to resubmit your former joint sponsor so please relax.....
The officer might request a new one though so just get someone different to file it and like @w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 mentioned RFIE could be any of the ones listed

@w s 🇨🇦🇺🇸 and @D D - so I have an RFE in my documents, it’s the medical RFE I received few weeks ago and I already submitted it. I’m not sure if there is another one coming or not. I’m a bit confused at this point

did they give you 2 different notices for it? maybe talk with an Emma agent and make sure you’re good. @IB Ton

No! just the same one I guess. I just got notified that my response was received. looks like the new RFIE was for the previous one and they have recorded my response too for the new one. fingers crossed now.
