I-485 RFE for I-864s filed with OPT EAD but now working using CPT
Hi there,
Got my I-485 RFE this morning, its asking for:
1. proof for my legal/authorized employment (im the intended immigrant, my most recent tax return qualified for 125% of federal poverty guidelines)
2. My wife’s income is not enough cuz she is a full-time student and she’s using my income to sponsor me. It’s saying I need a joint sponsor
I filed I-485 and I-130 when I was still on F-1 OPT EAD. Shortly after that I enrolled in a master program and have been working using CPT since. Is the RFE ONLY asking for my new I-20 with CPT authorization, or they also want a joint sponsor on top of it? Thanks guys this is intense😭

just simply add a joint sponsor. It will resolve it

they will not accept your income just fine someone to do it for you

I appreciate you all, while im taking care of the joint sponsor would anyone know if I need the whole RFE package from my CPT school (same as what they do for H1-B RFE at a cost of $250, which is straight up robbery smh) or my current I-20 w CPT authorization would suffice?
