I-485 processing time/ employment (I-140/NIW)
let’s all of us share our experiences regarding to the I-485 processing time, after I-140 got approved.
I know that it’s depends to applicants location center, but at least will give us a range of time how long it will takes!
Toyota, I asked my attorney about it and he suppressed me actually. He said [based on our firm’s I-485 cases filed after I-140 approval and received their green cards in recent 6 months, on average they have waited 340 days to be scheduled for an interview. The longest waiting time is 1,003 days and the shortest waiting time is 141 days].
Pleas comment if you know your friends or colleagues that have already got their GC what the processing time was for their cases!

my law firm: clients have waited 282 days to be scheduled for an interview. The longest waiting time is 469 days and the shortest waiting time is 105 days. Please note that these timelines are counted from the I-140 approval date. The scheduling of the interview is dependent on the time availability of the field offices, and there is no pattern for why some cases waited longer than others.
After completing the interview, it can take 0 days or even up to 202 days for the I-485 to be approved. The average waiting time is 29 days.
Please keep in mind that the actual processing times differ for different cases, and it doesn't mean all the cases have been processed within the above-mentioned timeframe. Please also kindly understand that we are unable to estimate the processing time of a specific case by referring to the approval timeline of other cases.

does submitting the i-485 and I-140 concurrently make it faster? I get the impression that submitting the AOS after the I-140 put it in a faster queue
M AMay 22, 2021
@AR yes. I think you will save some time!
p QMay 22, 2021
@mA my case was transferred to Nebraska
p QMay 22, 2021
mine was sort of concurrent. I filed my I-485 a month after filing I-140. So most of the time used in I-140 was also used up in I-485. My I-140 was approved in 222 days (end of March), but I-485 was transferred to NSC from NBC in Jan. Really not sure how it all works.

@PQ friend of mine had the same situation as you and when he called them, they said for interview process, but I’m not sure how long will take!

I read that NIW are not going under interviews
M AMay 22, 2021
@ Svetlana. yes, but it’s not for all cases. I’m not sure why. because my lab mate has had interview and he applied on 140 NIW!

yeah I’m in the waiting game. My friend didn’t listen to his lawyer and submitted his I-693 with his package for I-485, and he applied around same time as me for I-140 and I-485. he got his green card last week. NSC for him too. so let’s see if I get an RFE in a month for I-693. I should have submitted that too and I would have similar journey as him. Oh well...
