I-485 pending since August 2021
my I-485 is taking so long I hired a lawyer who is going to help me get it adjudicated, but we filed a EAD application ( I never filed one with my I-130 & I-485) we expedited request for the ead 3 weeks ago and still ah ent heard back. my job that I have worked at for 7 years is going to fire me if I don’t get work authorization due to changes in our company. I got a letter from them and it won’t let us upload it on my account. they haven’t asked for proof for the expedite request but my lawyer said we should upload anyways, but now we can’t. also, I got my biometrics done 11/2021 ( we sent them proof that it was done with ead application) maybe they want me to get finger printed again? does biometric really expire?? why does everything I do with USCIS take so long :( I have been waiting 29 months for my I-485 the least they could do is approve my expedite request that I have proof for!!! I have family I need to provide for

@i l Ask your attorney to mail that letter to USCIS along with your declaration of expedite request and include as many documents as you can showing the urgency and importance of expediting your request.

when did you apply for ead? when does your current ead expire?
why can't you upload the work letter, is it a technical problem with uscis website?

@March 2023 I have already reached out to congressman. it didn’t help me. I will talk with my lawyer Tuesday and see if she can fax the letter from my job over maybe

@Ice Cream I never filed for a EAD with my I-130 and I-485 so I don’t have one. I filed on 11/3. expedited it on 11/30. I had to hire a lawyer to file EAD because my company is changing and now I need it, otherwise I will lose my job. I believe it’s a technical error on the website. it will only let me upload evidence for my I-485, not my EAD application
