I-485 interview scheduled today but….
I-485 interview scheduled today but I’m in the middle of a divorce and already filed VAWA. what should I do? please give advice and share experiences!

definitely seek guidance from a good/knowledgeable lawyer. perhaps go to the interview and present your Wava application but dont do anything until you seek professional help.

because your divorce isn’t finalized I would think your case is still valid.

go attend to your interview.. try to get a lawyer with you if not
just go by yourself and explain everything to the IO..

@mari posa expert advise says just go to the interview with proof of VAWA and request the I -485 be held in abeyance.

I didn’t go, my lawyer went instead and told them the situation, so my I-485 went into abeyance
