I-485 at Step 4 (Decision) after reopening – anyone similar?
Hi everyone,
My I-485 (family-based) was reopened after my removal proceedings were terminated. My case now shows Step 4 of 4: Case Decision, with an estimated 5 months, and it appears my interview was waived.
I also noticed internal events like H028 (case reopened) and FTA0 (file accessed), but no RFEs or documents posted.
Has anyone been in a similar situation?

my 485 had previously said interview waived and I just received an interview notice before christmas for an interview on Jan 20

FTAO is when your file is Forwarded To Adjudication Officer. Once you get the API code “AckByAdjudticatorAndCms:True” that is actually when your file is completely reviewed by an officer and if at the moment of the review nothing is needed from you’ll see action requested: false. AckByAdjudicatorAndCms:True appears at the final stage of your case.

@D H my API is AckByAdjudicatorAndCms is true and action requested is false since Nov 20 and still nothing after then.

yes you will be scheduled for an interview even if it says waived they will still schedule you

@D H I got the AckByAdjudicatorAndCms:True on API
@Sheero Laura @Annie G There’s so much back and forth but the good news is that we sent the PD straight to the Judge and she terminated it within a week. I was at the Boston Court.
