@Don Sk congrats too! I got one of my dependent's approval 1 hr later, which lined up perfectly 24hrs since her "API" was last updated. I'm expecting my other dependent approval by 1pm today since her last api update is 1pm yesterday.

btw, I self file my AOS/EAD and my dependents since its pretty straightforward. Used chatgpt and gemini heavily to double check my form, plus the usual web as a helper, however, one needs to understand the logics to spot if something is off (not very often in my case). IMO, AI is a must when working with forms and explanations, but ultimately, user makes the final logic/decision. Also did mine super fast to make it to day 1 of my priority date. if I work with people, just sending email and waiting for reply takes forever 🙄

Another info for you guys. I never received my EAD card, USPS says delivered but never got them. Lots of cases like this, requested USPS to search for it but nothing, they said delivered to inbox, very suspicious. Anyhow, if it happens to you, emma said need to file another EAD/Replacement which costs $$. In my case it was just a backup so I dont need it now, but I can imagine the nightmare if a job is waiting. Make sure to sign up for USPS Informed Delivery service, do it NOW. its free and you can actually see a snapshot of the front of the envelope (if they have a photo) in your account without visiting your mailbox. It tells you how many mails are coming or delivered. I would say its a must, I registered after I got the problem with EAD, so make sure to do it NOW if you havent already.

@MMM Lobot congratulations dude... I am desperately waiting for my decision. filed my aos on 24 October 2025. biometrics done on 26 November, case transferred to local office not sure which date but there is an update on 22 January, I assume that is the date of transfer... after that no updates.

got approvals as well on my last Derivatives exactly 24 hrs from their silent API update. It looks like system approvals has 24 hr auto notification setting where it sends approval 24hrs after it was actually approved by an officer. It might be a different case if officer did not approved the application when they last opened it. Not sure if its only for SFV office but in my case it was very predictable.

@MMM Lobot Congrats! I am on the same boat. my case is also at the San Fernando, PD Nov 23 2023, Bio Oct 31 2025, FO transfer Dec 23 2025. Got EAD already.

Was your case under Final Action Date by the time you submitted I485 in Oct?

@hnfw foqp yes, its current final action date when I submit.

@A S yours should be pretty close, if your case is straightforward and see a silent update and got FTAO, expect approval in 24 hrs after officer last access it. The FTAO and last update time are different set of actions, I count the 24 hrs on the "last updated" date/time. Its a "zulu" time or UTC, just convert to your local timezone to predict the exact time of approval. goodluck

@Molly P Lots of possible reasons for delays. IMO, any issue or even minor follow-up by the officer can put the application on the back burner.

@MMM Lobot , how you predicted? me and my wife both got 3rd fta0 today. my wife got extra fta1. but my case does not have the fta1. my wife also got email saying “action has been taken”. but logging into the system shows case status changed to “actively reviewed” . but my case shows nothing like that. I am the primary applicant and emma live agent told interview was waived on 01/07. we also received silent update on that day.

@dark revolution I explained it from my post and replies. It's only true if the case is approved the last time it was opened by an officer. Anything beyond that depends on why officer did not adjudicate the application right away. My case is simple and straightforward, so was hoping an officer will just get through it in one go, which is what happened.

End of the EB2-NIW journey for me, got the physical greencard today. Got the "Card Produced" 3 days after approval, then 4 days later today we received all greencards in the mail. Total of 7 days after the initial approved status. Got the tracking number from emma, then tracked the packet to my mailbox via Informed Delivery. Goodluck everyone!
