I googled exactly that, and found a government website where you enter your address, and they’ll tell you who the congressman is.

@Tu tu I don’t know if it’s the same for every congressman, but mine had a form you can submit. You can pick the government agency you want resolution from, what case it is, case number etc. There’s only one free form field where they ask you to briefly state issue and expected resolution. So I kept it short and said that my concurrently filed case is not approved yet, and it’s impacting my mental health😅so hope they can urge USCIS to get it approved soon

@luhoo hoo I asked my congressmen before. it only gives me two choices. ask for the status or expedite it. are you doing the expedition?

@Tu tu My didn’t have that choice. I only had to state my own desired outcome

@Tu tu This is exactly what I wrote: I'm applying for a Green Card based on marriage with a US citizen. We applied for I- 130 & I-485 concurrent filing in May 2022 after we got married earlier in the month. Fast forward more than a year later, my husband's I-130 was finally approved in early August 2023. However, my I-485 application is still pending a month and a half later, despite being filed concurrently. This has really been impacting my mental health and personal life since I haven't been able to visit my parents since the pandemic and now I'm held back by the immigration process. I hope you can help me urge the Houston field office to approve my I-485 application as soon as possible. Thank you for your help!

hi @luhoo hoo I’m in the exact same situation. I130 got approved 36 days ago, yet no update on 485, even tho it was filed together. (back in March 2022 as well) could you advise on what state you’re at, and how did you found the congressman? I’m in the state California (case was filed concurrent in Los Angeles but wasn’t able to find the congressman info online) Thanks again, and how amazing for you!!

also, when did you contact congressman, and how soon did he got back to you? a day after?

@m n 80 days when i reached out, and yesterday was 94 days got an approval

@Natali Y On house.gov you can enter your zip code then full home address to find your congressman. It took them 5 days to get back to me and got it approved.

@ go to house.gov to search for your congressman, then they’ll have instructions on their own office website

@favor me👩🏽‍💼 i contacted AI green office and they refused to do like this in my case. mine pd was also may 2023. they are saying they can request only after february 2024. after februrary 2024 i can raise the query myself why would I need them for. i will try another congressman
