wow, congratulations. Your timelines were crazy long. Mine is filed on Jan 2023, and for three months my date was not current. your guess on when would I get it?

@Jay D Thanks a lot 🙏 are you ROW ? What’s your PD ? I guess one of the variables that is taking precedence is PD, the other is filing date etc etc This is just my guess, I have no idea how things work. The mother of all is the game of probability which is at work because there is a deluge of applications. After checking your timeline, I think and hope if you are current you should be expecting an approval anytime in the next few weeks. Mine was an odd ball unlucky case maybe. I have seen folks applying one year after me got approved before me with recent PD’s.

@D P Thanks a lot 🙏 I tried a few things. Last year I tried to reach out to congressmen two times but I was told that I have to wait because there are a lot of applications. I did not try service request for I-485 because it won’t work unless you have waited long enough. My case was sent to NBC from TSC on October 31st 2023. Then from NBC to Brooklyn NY FO on 17th November 2023. Then on December 20th 2023, I received medical RFE from Brooklyn NY FO and I responded on 30th December 2023 which FedEx day they received on 02 January 2024. I received a biometric fingerprint notice for my dependent yesterday because he turned 14th last month and today they approved my I-485. Next week I will go to the local FO for my dependent’s fingerprints.

@RW BM thanks a lot. just hang in there for few more weeks. if it’s current they will approve. If it’s not current, dates are moving ahead anyway which is a positive sign. it’s difficult not to get frustrated though at times. if I have received EAD and AP I won’t worry much. But generally they approve the EAD only that’s the problem. And AP they close after the I-485 has been approved is what I have seen. In my case, only the EAD was approved, not the AP.

after EAD how long it took for you to get i485 approved . my pd is Dec 2022 when it was current n concurrently filed. family approved for ap but not me yet. cRP since July-Aug 2023

@Be positive Any status update ? EAD in hand I got in July 19th 2023 and then retrogression happened for me and I had to wait till I became current again after two months. . Then they transferred my case from TSC to NBC on 31st Oct 2023. Then on Nov 2023 they transferred it to Brooklyn NY and then they sent medical on Dec 20th 2023 and approval came in 15th February 2024. Becase of the retrogression everything got messed up for me and also things gets delayed if you don’t submit medical in the initial filing. I would say if you are current then you can expect closure of your case within three months of getting the EAD.

Thanks.No update so far. we are not current but when applied it was current then. no EAD for me as primary applicant. I shall wait until gc approval comes.
