I-485
Hi everyone. I’m looking for advice or similar experiences because my I-485 has been pending since July 2022. My I-130 was approved in 2023, and my case has been stuck on “actively reviewed” for a very long time. My spouse became a U.S. citizen, so my category should now be immediate relative, but I still haven’t received a final decision. I also responded to a NOID/RFE and have been waiting with no real update. It’s honestly frustrating because it feels like the case is just sitting there while life is on hold, because apparently patience is now an immigration requirement too. Has anyone had an I-485 pending this long after I-130 approval and after responding to USCIS? Did a congressional inquiry, USCIS service request, or CIS Ombudsman request help move the case forward? Any advice would be appreciated.
