the denial of a I-131 doesn’t have any weight in the I-485 adjudication. I-131 is processed by a service center and the I-485 is processed by your local field office. if it makes you feel better my spouse is in the same boat, our interview was in mid oct and no desicion yet. her I-131 was denied too. our attorney said that was expected. let’s say if someone has removal order but it’s an “arriving alien” they will not be able to get AP (I-131), but because this person is an “arriving aliens” that person will be able to adjust status (I-485) because USCIS has jurisdiction over that person. in another scenario like the previous comments, sometimes it’s just the you might get approve and they don’t think you’ll need the AP. no worries, USCIS has 120 days (4 months) to decide a case, certain cases are more complex than others sometimes the officer that conducted the interview isn’t the one authorized to approve your case. it has to go through a chain of Comand. but be Patient, everything is going to be fine!

did you receive a denial letter? what was the reason for the denial?

@ Leslyn, I was denied of my paro. They started that I might have committed fraud and want to leave the country. lol. But my I-485 and I-130 has not been approved yet. I had my interview on Oct. and my status still saying interview scheduled. No update yet since after my interview.

okay. my ead was approved but my 131 was denied. I had my interview October and was issued a NOID on my 485. I’m in the process of responsing to it. they ask me to do a waiver

@Jj i haven’t received the the notice as yet. my field office is San Antonio, Texas. they say I have committed misrepresentation and fraud so I have to do I-601. if that’s the reason for your denial on your 131 they are suspecting of fraud and misrepresentation. where is your field office?

@ Leslyn, NOID notice of intent to denie . Just got the meaning. How was your interview went and does the officer not convince that your marriage is real? My marriage is 100% real and we do answer our questions correctly to the best of our knowledge.

my interview went pretty well. they say I lied on my B1/B2 application. I was first send NOID for my 130 and I responded back to them and I was approved then I was send NOID on my 485 telling me I’m eligible for the 601 waiver. I’m getting all my paper work up now to respond
