@m shaik I received c31 ead one week after "new card is been produced " I have c09 ead that will expire May 2024, but I just got automatic c31 that will expire in 2025.

I got 360 approved and I got approval notice but it’s been 10 days yet no c31 received. my ead still valid. I been waiting more than one week hopefully I’m getting my c31 by next week

@m shaik how long you get approval notice, my lawyer said sometimes approval notice comes first and c31 comes later or c31 comes first and approval notice comes late

@m shaik I 485 is show fingerprint collected, I was told it takes 4 to 8 months to see update for rfe medical. I pray everyone one will get approval soon, it's require patience and but God will surely do it for everyone.

@Lan Qaz I was waiting 1 month with no success, then my lawyer wrote to Vermont requesting them to resend the approval notice, and it arrived in one week after my lawyer requested USCIS to resend the approval notice, per my understanding some time laters get lost. My advice is to wait 2 more weeks, and after that contact Vermont and request them to resend the approval notice. You have nothing to worry about.

@Luna L only one rfe in January 2023. I did not contact anybody, just be patient they will approved you.

I filed vawa on may 2019 and got approved on 2021 , first you get the C31 card, after 2 months I got the status changed to . “My case was approved “ just hand in there, the hard part of getting your vawa is almost done .

What is the importance of prima facie? And after you have received prima facie what is going to happen next?

@joe joe the purpose of the prima facie is if you’re facing financial hardship you can use it to get help in most areas like, government housing, food stamps and such. It tells you what you can apply for. After receiving a prima facie and depending on how long your case has been going on for you can expect anything. They may request RFE if a document has been missing that should have been submitted in the 1st place, or there may not be any new updates for a very long time until they approve you. it depends on the officer that has your case. Some works very fast while some work at the pace of a snail.

@joe joe this is a breakdown of my case. I applied for VAWA in august of 2020. February of 2021 I got RFE for good moral character, April 2021 I got RFE for biometrics. After that there was no movements on my case whatsoever. Over time I received 3 prima facie. In February of 2023 they sent out another RFE which I had no idea until 17 days after it was returned to USCIS because mailman was unable to deliver to my lawyer. My lawyer had relocated and had updated her address with USCIS but there was a mix up. I had gotten frustrated and had deleted lawfully app for more than a year and I had stopped checking altogether. I was prompted 1 day to download back lawfully app and I did and that’s how I found out about the RFE. I contacted my lawyer and she reached out to USCIS and they re-sent the RFE. The RFE was for me to produce a copy of my previous divorce decree (not to the abuser) I was married years ago and had gotten a divorce so they wanted to ensure I had a legal marriage with the abuser. They received the RFE in March and my VAWA was approved in April. April 27 to be exact. I then received EAD category c31 on May 5th. My VAWA application and my greencard application was not submitted the same time. My greencard application was submitted in December of 2022. February, April and May my biometrics was applied to my I-485 application, my I-131 and also my I-765 respectively. They didn’t apply it to all 3 at the same time. May 31st I was sent a RFE which was for medical. Submitted the medical and they received it 24 days now. On July 12 my I-765 which is the c9 work authorization was approved and on July 13th my I-131 Advance parole (travel authorization) was approved. Card was being produced since and card was mailed yesterday. In all the years I was waiting I never received a work authorization or a social. After I received the work authorization from the VAWA approval I waited 2 weeks for the social which never came. Went to social security office and applied for 1 from May 22nd and still haven’t received it. I went back 3 times since and called numerous times but the answer remains the same. When they put in the information from the work authorization it came back as a mismatch so they sent a letter to department of homeland security for them to verify my status but haven’t gotten a response as yet. A process which normally takes up to 4 weeks is now going into 2 months but apart from the setback with the social I’m now only waiting on my GC approval which I pray by the grace of God will be approved before the year ends.

@Iheanyi Ejimadu if you received C31 EAD this means your vawa has been approved, To issue C9 EAD and Parole sometimes takes 6 months or more and sometimes lesser, it depends on the officer and your case.
