thank you very much. 😭😭😭😭

Provided you have received your receipt for your i-485 (i-797c) via mail, you won’t be out of status.

Your sevis record will be terminated but you're still an adjustment of status applicant so you're fine.

I filed my package on January of 2021 while my i-20 expired on April 2021, and everything went well, I already received my EAD card last week, and in the meantime while I was waiting for my EAD and 485, I was able to go to school by just showing them the 797c ( notice of action) the only difference is I was still continuing paying Out of state tuition fee but not international health insurance which is mandatory for F1 and removed the F1 hold on my student account . You totally should be fine

When did you get biometrics done?

@will sparks not really! I waited for 9 months
Paa KwesiSep 12, 2021
I'm counting time after biometrics

as far as I know, I’m in the timeframe of processing time as of now they process January PD cases on EAD
Paa KwesiSep 12, 2021
I have my biometrics coming up in October, if I get my EAD in December I'll be pretty excited.

uff I don’t want to disappoint you, but you have a long wait, you can actually look on USCIS website to get the idea, in their system says, they’re currently processing cases on or before Dec 15th, 2020. And waiting time is 9 months to 9.5 months

if they process January cases now, you’ probably have 6-7 months of waiting.
Paa KwesiSep 12, 2021
But that's the thing, I know people who filed in April and got their EAD last month. It just doesn't make sense
Paa KwesiSep 12, 2021
But I didn't even think I'd get my biometrics this soon so fingers crossed

they probably expedite their cases, which even that right now takes time, they actually delay the expedite cases. and yap good luck I wish all the best

my visa will expire in December as well. my wife is pregnant 🤰 and my DSO told me that I will need to go out of the country after 60days. I filed for I-130, I-485, I-765 and I have received only receipt notice and I-693 deficiency notice.
Paa KwesiSep 12, 2021
You do not need to go out of the country. The only disadvantage is that you cannot travel out of the US until the entire process is complete or you receive advance parole if you applied for it.
