I-140 follow up
Hi, does anyone here have any idea if it’s allowed for an applicant to ask the uscis agent thru emma for any update on the status of her I-140 or only lawyers are allowed to do so? Thank you.

You can ask a USCIS live agent through Emma, yourself, but it doesn’t guarantee you’ll get an update or any helpful info. Unfortunately, most USCIS agents don’t seem to be helpful or have limited information.

@z sha that makes no sense. If it is R G’s case and she/he hired the help of a lawyer, then R G can still ask about the case. No harm.

The sponsor is the employer, not the lawyer. If R G is the petitioner and they received a case number and receipt notice then they can ask about their case. R G, it would be best to contact the USCIS for information on this.
