I-140 Expedited Process Experience
Hi colleagues,
Does anyone have experience with, or know someone who has recently expedited an I-140 case?
I filed on January 20, 2024, and my application is still under processing. I am considering expediting my case because I am tired of being in suspension and would like to understand:
- How many days does it take to receive a decision after expediting?
- What has been people’s experience with the biggest concern, namely receiving an RFE?
Note: I am from one of the 75 countries under the partial ban.
Any shared experiences or insights would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

@B B I appreciate your time to provide the valuable feedback. My field is in Agriculture working on Biosecurity. I have couples of publications well cited as first authors and continued working with US regulatory agencies. I will proceed and leave decisions in God's hand. What will be will be.

i had experience of premium processing. it costed me 2800$ and USCIS promise to adjudicate your case in 45 BUSINESS days. i got RFE on 44th Business day, i submitted the response and now again its 9 days since my status is changed to response received, but no adjudication yet. I have asked my attorney to request for refund of PP fee.
I would still suggest to take the risk and go for PP. But in your case, since you are from 75 countries partial ban then dont go for PP as No one knows when this partial ban be removed. Many people say that chances of removal of this partial ban are after 2028 elections if Democrates win those elections.
Note: i am also from 75 partial ban country :(

@Ammar Badar Thanks for the update. Welll as it stands, taking the risk is just the options.
