thank you both! it’s a very happy day indeed! I am curious to see how long it takes for the GC as well, although I am just so happy we don’t have to deal with an RFE on the I-140. we need new medicals so expecting an RFE on that at some point in the future

I did not file an SR for the I-485. I’m honestly not planning to do that right away. it has been a couple of hard months with EAD which expired and everything, I feel like we need a little break from immigration issues. we will reconsider in a few weeks though and see if we can get a medical RFE and get that done and out of the way

@Rk B the EAD was a renewal and it took 13 months with an expedite

Thank you for the info. I was trying to figure out how long is the wait to get the EAD for the concurrent filling. Since it’s not your initial EAD. This may not give good estimation. I guess your initial EAD is not based on I-485 right?

@Rk B the first one was based on I-485 but we applied in 2020 and it had only a 1-year validity back then so we then had to renew while still under AOS

Okay. Would you be able to share your timeline for the initial EAD approval? Sorry I am asking so many questions.

@Rk B no problem, I don’t mind. I think it was applied for in March and received sometimes in July. but this was back in 2020 so I’m not sure it will help much

Okay thanks a lot. Looks like there is more backlog for 2021 fillings comparing to pandemic time. My EAD is pending over 8 months now at SRC. I wish you all the best. Thank you for sharing your timeline again

@Rk B yes things did definitely get even worse than before. if you qualify at all I would suggest looking into expedite and also contacting your Congress person. good luck, I know how hard it is.
