Just came back from Italy last night. No visa required there. On arrival CBP officer asked where Ive been, but I was sent to secondary inspection. Secondary asked my nicely, why I got this RTD since I’m a resident already. Then asked me if I have tobacco or food and said Have a good day. 5 minutes in and out. Previously I flew with RTD 2 time and also was sent do secondary inspection. No questions at all just stamp and “welcome home”. Go travel the world, but I recommend always having an email confirmation that you don’t need a visa to particular country. And if you need visa go get a visa. Enjoy

similar experience to the above comment ^. I only have my RTD and no GC yet. I went to the Netherlands through JFK in March. Super easy experience with Delta. And the immigration officers in Amsterdam also were super nice, just asked where I’m staying, when I’m leaving, etc. When I came back CBP at JFK were also nice. Sent me to secondary, I just sat there for 5 minutes while they checked my details. didn’t ask any questions and let me go.

@u soysa Hi, I flew directly to Italy $592 round trip. People always curious about this document, be ready to explain, especially those who check in your bags, or check you in for the flights. Italian border guy was nice, asked me where is visa, I explained that no visa required up to 90 days allowed to stay in Italy, and showed him my email from Italian consulate, he didn’t even loom honestly and stamped the passport

@Gurmail singh I landed in Rome Fiumicino Airport. Borded officer asked me where is the visa, I told him visa not required for RTD form i-571 to visit Italy up to 90 days, and also showd a print for IATA and printed email for Italian Consulate confirming that visa bot required. It took 3-4 minutes, but that day line was 2 hours long because automated machines was not working for US and Canadian citizens so everyone was in one line. On the way back officer just stamped the passport, looked at every page, read all the info on RTD, no problem 😉 just have to explain sometimes and talk to them

yes I just came back on Saturday I was in Africa for 7 weeks no issues when I returned but I was sent to secondary inspection like 45 minutes besic questions
