I-131 Reentry Permit: Can I leave the country after "Case Was Updated To Show Fingerprints Were Taken As of October 19, 2022, fingerprints relating to your Form I-131, Application for Travel Document, Receipt Number [ ], have been applied to your case."
I am going overseas for more than a year, and applied for my reentry permit. I did not do a biometrics interview, and recently received a notification that "Fingerprints were taken". I assume that they reused my biometrics from my green card application.
I have also put the mailing address for the permit to the overseas consulate.
The advice was not to leave the country until the biometrics interview, but since the fingerprints were taken, does this mean now that I can leave the country safely, and wait overseas for my permit to get approved?

well, I applied for my travel document in May and I had to go to Spain for a master program in August. I am already in Spain for almost 3 months. I think you should be fine

Previously I spoke to an immigration lawyer and he said that you can leave the country after you get your biometrics done. But with this notification it's not clear whether they would still ask me to get my biometrics so I was hoping to see if people have had the same notification and did not have to do their biometrics because it could be reused.

Hi, i am in the same situation. My lawyer tells me it's safe to leave the country though. Where are you with your decision?
