Patience is key.
If your petitioner is a RESIDENT it’ll take longer than if they were a CITIZEN. I waited about 2.5 years JUST to receive an approval notice. I sent my RFE (Request for Evidence) about three months ago and barely recieved my biometrics letter in the mail for this upcoming January. It’ll be almost 3 years from the date I first applied. I hear it’s taking 3-5 years for the full process.
Joban PreetDec 29, 2021
@dee gomez i guess we have patience too

Don’t sweat it, before you know it - you’ll be receiving letters! I hope nothing but the best for you :))))

You were probably transferred to a different service center that has a longer processing time. Go online to USCIS website. Use the “Ask Emma” and type to speak to a Live agent. Then choose technical difficulties, enter your USCIS info and it should connect you to a live agent. You can ask which service center is your case currently located and what the processing times are. Also, file a K3 to help speed up the process. it’s free and it helped our CR1 to get approved in 4 1/2 months.

thanks kimmy i will try that
Haider Ali KhanDec 29, 2021
@D Gee my RFE status is 17% and approved is 100% what i do?
Kimmy El BarqDec 29, 2021
You’re welcome, Joban. Good luck!

hey Ali, we have the same time line, processing center and status. the only difference was I had an RFE in august and I replied in October. immediately I replied, it changed back to “…we are actively reviewing your form…”. I don’t think they transferred the case anywhere because once the status is on actively reviewing, then just start expecting a response- either an RFE or approval. that’s what I think and I’m waiting for. all the best man

That means you are going to get a RFE notice in the mail. They just want you to provide a little more evidence as to your reasoning. Thats good news!! :)

Also, I forgot to mention all my notices have different receipt numbers. My first notice still says “being actively reviewed”, however my biometrics notice is a different receipt number and that one shows the updated status of my case. Look closely at all your receipt numbers on every notice you receive.

@Haider where did you get that info that uscis open visa and cancel interview visas Jan 1st 2022?
Haider Ali KhanDec 30, 2021
@D Gee thanks ❤️
Haider Ali KhanDec 30, 2021
@Blessed Awuah go to us travel.com but this news is for nonimmigrant visas
Kimmy El BarqDec 30, 2021
Almost everyone I know had their case changed from Nebraska to a different service center and you do not get a notice. The only way to find out is to contact Ask Emma as I stated before and ask for a Live agent. The agent can tell you where your case is located and how long the processing times are at that service center. I still think filing a K3 helps speed things along. I was approved in 4 1/2 months. my case went from Nebraska SC to Texas SC.

I was told by my lawyer they send your case to the center that has jurisdiction over you as arriving alien
