MY PD is 4/3/201.. went into active review on 9/24/2021 yesterday it changed from 9/24 to March 5 and I logged in and see that it was approved.. Texas service center… I130 US citizen- foreign spouse

mine has been in that status since December 2021. no further movement.

What do you mean changes status every other week? Does the actively review date change?

I spoke with uscis today and they told me that status should update every two weeks ! some people are getting their approval once it update to actively reviewing 2nd time

I’ve only had 2 updates in 9 mth 1st was the receipt notifice and 2 nd when it said being actively reviewed.

mine was in Nebraska and was moved to Vermont. they did not send me a notice for the center change either.

same here I was Texas and moved to Vermont. did not know until I called uscis to get update on my case !

I am also at Vermont. did you guys do k3? I have been actively review since February 19th 2022

Rachel, are you a US citizen petitioning for spouse? I am a US citizen petitioning for foreign spouse..I applied Oct 2021 and got assigned Nebraska service center...my status changed to actively being reviewed since Feb 20th and today I found out that my case was transferred to Vermont. Reading about these transfers does not help because they say they do it because of workload and to speed up the process..they also say it won't affect processing time..then they say check vermont processing time..which takes twice as the Nebraska...I called USCIS and they can't answer any of my questions..the lady said that a lot of times they will transfer the case back...but why they transfer in the first place..I have no idea

@alma my pd is September 24th 2021. k3 pd February 3rd 2022. when I got the receipt letter it said Nebraska then when I talked to Emma they said it’s at Vermont. I got ar on February 19th 2021.

Adiba, we are almost on the same timeline except I did not file k3. My pd is October 6th, 2021. I also don't know at what point they transferred my case from Nebraska to Vermont. Processing time for Vermont is much longer than Nebraska. I was expecting my approval anytime until I found out about the transfer...

@Alma if you can submit k3 then do it. I’m seeing all case being approved within 40 days of filing k3

hi ladies. I filed july7th 2021 .it went in review status on 12/14/21. I did not file a K3 . I’m not sure what that is but I will look. I am a us citizen. my husband is in Jamaica. I’m in Florida. I was told also when I called USCIS last month that it was transferred and all they could say is that the review stays means they are waiting on an officer to be assigned. They also said there is no way of knowing how long that takes. they said I have to wait my time up to 15 months.

my PD is Aug 22. 2021. and got active reviewed on Feb, 11. no updates since then. today when I called I asked if active reviewing just a system update or this means that an officer is reviewing? they said when you file your I-130 it gets assigned to an officer upon reciept. so this means your case is with an officer! I asked so when would I get an update on my case because it’s almost a month and no response. he said that background check is complete!! but not sure when would the officer finish working on the case!!!!

so not sure what are they doing but I am hoping we all get our approval, it’s hard to wait! my husband is in Jordan as well and I am a us citizen!

wow Atleast you guys got to talk to someone about it. for my case they were super rude when I called and barely gave me any information.

Adiba I had couple of rude agents . I just kept trying until I got to speak to this agent today. and he was nice and told me somethings about the case! but I had others telling me the processing times, and that’s it .

@sara I talked to one lady and she’s like mam you called us 2 times last week and talked to Emma multiple times. and after that I just felt guilty that I was being crazy

it seems as though each call they are giving different information. no consistency in their responses. It’s very unorganized and inconsistent. this makes it unfair to those doing the process the correct way. If Covid is still an issue then they need to hire more people. The back log is incredibly and they are keeping families apart. I need my husband home the cost of traveling and phones conversations and maintaining 2 households and kids etc for all of us is just too much. It creates emotional, mental and financial strain on every family they delay.

Now I regret not filing k3. Initially I didn’t file because Nebraska processing time was 3-7 months and k3 was 5-7 so I figured I’m not getting anything out of k3. Now that they transferred me to vermont the wait time is up to 15 months. I am very disappointed. I am going to file for k3 tomorrow and hope for the best. We have been apart for 6 months now..our baby is growing without her daddy..this is very stressful.

alma HT we have the same priority date october 6 and I was and maybe stil today in Nebraska service centre. I see in visa journey that cases that are moved from nsc to somewhere else are approved faster than those staying there for longer than 4 months. If I were mived to vermont I would feel better because I see many fast approvals form vermont despite their official website.

alma HT you are welcome, I was also actively reviewed on the 22th of february, just to add some information for statistics, so now they are opening the october cases and when they are done with them we will get our approval. wish you the best!

Rachel, I almost feel like yours should have been approved by now. I can’t believe that actively reviewing takes that long..in your case 3 months and going..if we were to go by that logic..then yes..you should get approved before we do..and we will get approved 2-3 months after you..but I feel like there isn’t much logic to any of this..

hey guys, a little update on my case I got another actively review on March 7th and then I checked the documents I got the approval letter. you guys should be getting yours soon! it’s coming!

rachel hi, they re working on your case yes earlier than mine for sure. I dont really know when your approval is coming because that is only depending in the person is working on it but in my personal opinion your approval is coming soon april for example or may because they complete the second round of work in a case.

@alma I have seen a couple people get approved before 11-15 months. I think the max I saw for usc is 9 months

@alma yes I would highly recommend k3!!

we never know how they work excactly and what are they are looking on every case. I am trying to understand it and I see on cases something like rounds every 4 months for example the first is from receive to actively review and then if there is not approval right after that goes in a second 4 months round were most of cases are approved and if there isnt approval after that goes to the next which means a year.we will see

I also have a feeling that if you don’t get approved within couple days aftet status changes to actively reviewing it goes into the “waiting game”

@adiba your PD date was sept 2021 but you filed a K3. and you have your approval. I wonder if it’s worth me filing that now when I’ve been in my review status for 3 months. IDK THIS IS JUST HARD . there is no sure answer to any of it. I’m just praying.

@rachel file k3. it’s free and doesn’t really hurt the case. most cases with k3 get approved within 15-40 days of filing

I submitted mine yesterday and sent it overnight. Now I am stressing because I noticed on my i-130 that i left a date blank under the address section from and to date. And then anothet mistake where I entered a date in a field thst should have beem left blank ..I sent them an email explaining the mistakes. i wonder if they will just find it irritating and ask me to submit my file again..i hope not!!

there is no way to tell..I’ve seen people who got approved after less than 6 months and then others who waited more than a year..

alma ht I remember we have same priority date, I got approved last friday. how is your case going?

good morning! ladies I just received my email approval! I checked it last night and it was still pending and this morning it was updated and said approved 2 days ago! March 24th! so excited PD 7/7/21 in review from December 14 2021.

no it said last night that it was actively being reviewed since December 14, 2021 . I thought I’d receive a 2nd actively reviewed but it didn’t.

I was about to send my K3 pack Monday. now I do not need to.
