I-130 FINALLY APPROVED!
I-130 approved last night! E-mail came at 7:52 p.m. I'm US citizen who filed for my husband. PD 9/20/2023 initially in Nebraska SC but transferred to California SC and approval came from California SC 1/13/ 2025 there date shows (1/14/2025)! THANK GOD!🎉🙏
Prayers that everyone is approved faster! The wait is so hard!🥹🤞🙏
We had a lawyer for our process so I'm going to call him today.
Does anyone have any idea about next steps? My husband had illegal entry as a minor from Mexico and they sent his case to Department of state/NVC according to the approval letter.
Would he need to go to Juarez for re-entry?
Would I need to be present for that?
How long would we be there?

Does he have DACA? Has your husband used the advance parol from DACA to have a legal entry? If not, he will most likely need to apply for I-601a and this application is taking about 3 years to be approved. Additionally, he will need to go to Cd. Juarez for interview. However interview cannot happen until he has I-601a approved. ( 10 year ban if you go to interview without it). If he has DACA and has used the advanced parol he will be able to fix his status in the U.S. and might not need the I-601a.

If your husband isn’t already in the USA , then the case getting sent to the Department of State is normal . It’s apart of Consular Processing. I wouldn’t worry . If there was a issue- then they wouldn’t have approved the i130.
