i 130 approved while in removal proceedings
Hello friends, i got my i 130 approved less then two weeks ago, and my main question is what next step should be? Currently in removal proceedings with pending asylum. Merit hearing is scheduled for May 2026. Should I adjudicate my case with judge, or is it better to do terminate the case and move with USCIS? Anybody in similar situation? Do we have to go through another round of marriage interview for i485? any suggestions will be appreciated!

since you are already in the country just go ahead and file I-485 I wish you had filed them together but when you receive green card in hand you can withdraw your asylum application

@Free Lancer , You have to submit a motion to the Immigration court handling your removal proceedings to terminate your case. From there, you can then file for I485. Please engage a service of an immigration attorney.

terminate the case in court and then file I-485 with USCIS. In that order. u do not one to adjudicate ur case with judge, it take longer times and sometimes they push back the date often. May 2026 can be sepetember 2028. and if your marriage is legit, interview or not is not important. the goal is to receive the greencard. if I have to walk through fire to get it, I will do it
