I filled i824 did u make the mistake

that’s mean you had error on your I-130 you selected consular processing and adjustments in USA so the officer should of send letter to the petitioner ask to pick one but uscis need more money and take more time to approve it again.

I actually didn’t chose anything neither the embassy at USA or abroad I left that thing blank..!!

that’s why either way you fill both or blank that’s what uscis want you to file but you have to fill only one of those 2 questions, I’m is citizens too but is been 3 month nothing so far. they said it take 90 day to 24 month

I have heard it’s better to file I-130 again than I-824 because I-824 take twice as long as I-130?

try to call them speak to tier 2 officer see he can help send the file to NVC I heard some officer help or send them a letter in writing.

@harmain. was that are the back of the form?? I think a lot of people have been doing that mistake where they leave it blank. I’m not sure my husband filled out that part

I checked my forms and yes I missed that part too but I wrote the country name where my husband is living…

we can file and pay also but I saw some people saying it is taking way longer than I-130 that’s what worries me

I am in the same boat, I requested to speak with tier 2 and yea I saw many people claiming that was not error on us, it is a clear error of Uscis

were you able you speak with tier 2 officer? what they said?

all representatives of Uscis have only basic information in these kind of cases, they want you have to follow what says in the letter, but doesn't make sense fill i-824 if your relative live overseas U.S. I'm trying to have extra help with representative or congressman.

Any news from people who called uscis about this issue. I have the same problem here

I'm in the same boat I tried to get my wife and girls here on visa waiver as they have had the I-30s approved but immigration in London found out about my wife's I-30 approval and got a not authorised to travel on her passport as he deemed she was entering to stay. (She was but my wife and girls are immediate family) This is becoming a nightmare!

I'm also thinking of just redoing a new I-30 and making sure NVC processing is checked or known.
