I-130 approved and I-485 in standby
Hello dear community,
I just wanted to share my latest timeline :
July 16 : I-131 approved
July 22: Advance Parole received
July 24 : I’m in a plane to see my family
July 30 : Email telling me USCIS is reviewing my I-130
July 31 : Email telling me USCIS is reviewing my I-485
At this point I’m super happy, I know that something is happening.
July 31, 15 minutes later : RFE
I’m super disappointed
Today August 1st : I have access to my RFE and actually, it’s good news! They’re basically telling me that they’re about to approve me BUT they can’t because I’m abroad…. Once I’m back to the US I’ll have to send them my I-94 stamped.
Few minutes ago I got my I-130 officially approved! 😍

Yes I am. I double checked everything with my lawyer before my trip and he gave me his green flag!

what the heck!!! I am planning on traveling on my AP in mid August and I didn’t know this was a thing. with the way they work I’m surprised they even know you’re abroad. I thought you’d have to send them a paper via pigeon to let them know you have left the country 😂😂😂

Yes they knew exactly the day I left the US! They can’t approve my case if I’m not in the US…. I didn’t know either!!

good to know. I am praying for a miracle because my 130 is approved but 485 is pending so I have to travel on AP. 😬

I’m December 6 but my case is in local office, they transferred in June and I also received my travel permit July 17 , two weeks ago , hoping get approved soon @Anne K
