I-130 Approved after 2 years.
My I-130 has just been approved after 2 years. Glory be to Almighty God in the highest. Now I’ll proceed to file a motion to terminate because I’m in removal proceeding. I pray everyone else waiting will get an approval soon.

Congratssssss, how was you interview?
wiz kidJun 15, 2023
thanks everyone

@Debbie Amarachi yes I am here in the states. I got into removal proceeding in 2020 which means I have a case in immigration court. I’m not terminating my I-130, I’m only going to move to terminate my pending court case now because I’ve never committed a crime and I’m now married, so I’m low risk. once that is done then I can file for a green card

@B P my interview was very smooth, my wife and I were basically just gisting with the interviewing officer all through. she was also very nice

congratulations and thanks for sharing your timeline, I’m in the same boat , Chicago, my pd is august 21. but I still haven’t heard anything from them, when did they schedule your interview? @wiz kid . thanks
wiz kidJun 19, 2023
@k j so back story on my case, my PD is May 2021. I had tried to expedite my case this time last year using Senator and via Emma but it didn’t work. The reason i tried to expedite was because we were past processing times (Nebraska service center had 4 months processing time on the website) and we were 12 months at this time and we (my wife and I) were also experiencing financial loss at the time. Fast forward to February 2023, I filed a writ of mandamus and then I received interview notice in May 2023.
If you’re past processing time and you have the finances, you may want to go the writ of mandamus route.

actually I made an expedite twice my pd august 21, and 2 weeks ago I filed ambudesman and inquiry attached to a threat to sue , I haven’t heard nothing so far, my lawyer said if we don’t hear from them we will sue, writ of mandamus. the last option. @wiz kid . hopefully things will go smoothly without the need of sueing them. because it costs a lot of money as I heard . if you don’t mind , how much did you pay for the writ of mandamus? thanks a lot
wiz kidJun 20, 2023
@k j my lawyer charged me 3500 to file the writ of mandamus.

thanks @wiz kid I really appreciate it .
