I-130 Approved
my I-130 was approved 3 days ago and it took over 16 months, I wonder how much longer I’ll have to wait before I actually get the opportunity to go to the USA

it was received December 9th 2024, and then evidenced was requested on February 25th 2026, and finally it was approved on April 16th 2026. and on April 19th 2026 the case was sent to “Department of State”. there was absolutely no activity the entire year of 2025.

Congratulations on your approval. The next step is to wait for the welcome letter from NVC so you can begin your consular processing step where you apply for you GC visa, attend your interview and then if all goes well you get your GC visa stamp in your passport and enter the USA
