you just have to wait! I already have aproved the I130 and I haven’t had the interview for I485 yet. They are slow because they have a lot of cases and COVID makes everything worst.

@paty a it’s just so much discouraging when I keep seeing people who had their interviews the same day as me and after just get approved either the same day or the next, while I’m stuck in this limbo.

I know it’s gonna be okay, and I try my best to remain patient, but I guess seeing other people get approved just makes me worry about what’s wrong with my case. Maybe I should try to stay away from these communities for a bit.

Yes, it could be still denied....I know a friend who got the i130 approved months ago and did the interview for I485 and three months after the interview they denied her.

Why did they deny her? my I-130 was approved after the interview, which leads me to believe they could corroborate our marriage is authentic. To my understanding, they could deny it based on other ineligibilities, such as entering the country illegally or having committed a crime...

Everything was good at the interview....the officer told her to look for a response in the mail and that the interview went well ...They don't think they will be no issues to approve it....but months later she got the notification that she is deny ....She still waiting on the mail.

So she not sure....because she can't see the letter on the site

Hi guys, I had my marriage interview on November 8, the Interview went well, officer was super nice, he didn’t ask any questions. Just go through the forms and asked yes and no questions. In the end he said that “ I m approving i130, every thing looks good but I 485 I need some information from the other department”. I asked what is the information “ he said that it the internal communication between two departments”, here I want to mention that I had asylum case but I already took it back after filing the AOS. He told me then they want to see the file. And it’s a normal procedure you don’t need to worry. I m wondering is this normal? And how much time it will take to approve i485?

Hello! I have a similar case like you Fady. I had my I485 interview on November 9, 2021. The officer said everything is good in the interview but he can't yet decide at that time to approve my I485. My I 130 was approved but my I485 was for review. My attorney was with us during the interview and he asked the officer why he can't decide at that time if everything looks good. My attorney wants to give all the evidences/documents that we are bringing regarding our bonafide marriage but the officer said "no need and he's already satisfied with the interview and all the documents that he needs we're already submitted when my attorney filed the case". He said he needs to see my 601A application and status is still pending. He can't open my A-file and it's locked. I have an approved immigrant worker petition which was approved on 2014. But my petition was approved when I was already here in U.S and I overstayed my non immigrant visa. My parents are permanent residents here and to continue my petition, my attorney applied me for a waiver (601A). I don't have any criminal record or any misrepresentation when I came here in the US. The officer gave us a letter indicating my case is being held for review and allow them for no less than 120 days before making a status inquiry. I'm hoping it will not take that long before they will decide on my case. My attorney said I just need to wait and nothing to worry, the officer just want to see my 601A application.

yes, last feb.15. USCIS said it is still inside normal processing time. didn't get any answer from them why it takes too long for the approval.

guys is there any update on your cases. my I 485 is still under review from last 174 days.

@mass 12 sad to say, not yet 😞😞 so frustrating! the congress is helping me in reaching out with USCIS since they don't allow me to make a follow up with them because they said my case is still within normal processing time. USCIS replied twice to congress and both replied are not favorable!
