I-130 and I-485
Hello!
I need some hope! Yesterday the I-130 said 4 weeks under processing time and we were really excited. Today it changed to “your case is taking longer than expected”.
Both were filed on 06/23/2022 , biometrics completed in July and interview waived in July 20.
Is anybody else also experiencing this “taking longer than expected situation with the same or approximate date when it was submitted?
how much longer do I have to wait??

Hi Jenny.
Same here, two weeks ago I-130 said "2 months", past week said "4 weeks". We filled on 10/22/22.
I hope it will be approved soon. Good luck for you, if you have any update, please share

hiiiii mine is Jun 27 2022 I’m still waiting. They have not asked me for medical exams

how can i know when it is under review or actively review ? will i receive an email from uscis ?

no one knows. could be 1 day, 2 years or even 10 years.. no one knows :(… They placed my case on hold they said.. pending security checks and they said that can take a year by itself.. I’ve been waiting 1.5 years and I’m a US Citizen

my case now at the embassy i am waiting to be scheduled my interview ,7 days befor i received this email . at this time this case is undergoing a mandatory review by the adjudicating officer . once the review is complete we will contact the beneficiary . Please what does it mean and what will happen next ?

@Jenny F same here ! my date is 09/14/2022 and before was 3 months now is taking longer than expected so who knows 🥹

I also applied in June 2022 and did biometrics in July. I only heard back 5 days ago with the approval of my work permit. My i130 also says taking longer than expected. That's it. I'm waiting.

@Lorena Duncan mine said 4 months, 3 months, 2 months and then it switched to weeks, but after week 4 remaining. that’s when I got the delayed message.

I applied on August 2022, I got my combo card last month but my I-130 still taking longer then expected.. I am praying those are being worked on.. it’s been 10moths..
