Humanitarian Reinstatement - Cries from the Grave
The CIS Ombudsman responded to my letter regarding the captioned matter
The last paragraph stated: "We take all stakeholder feedback seriously and will take your proposals into consideration when we meet with USCIS. Our work is only as good as the feedback we receive, and my office meets regularly with various stakeholder groups to hear about their experiences with USCIS. If you or others who have gone through the humanitarian reinstatement process would be interested in meeting with us, please feel free to reach out..."
I think anyone going through this now would have a lot to share too as I included some of your comments to emphasize the frustration, confusion and anxiety being faced by grieving beneficiaries. NB..any request for individual case assistance must be made separately but a meeting could provide an opportunity to get a positive response. did they provide a way to you for reaching out with someone specific in their office in regards to this ‘meeting’?
And how long after you sent the request to the ombudsman office did they respond?
because ours been two weeks and nothing yet.

@Sahil Patel I sent letter on Sunday night...I received response on Wednesday. This was not a request for individual case assistance...I did not file DHS 7001. I remember you replied that you had done yours. No specific person...I will just contact the office again when the persons involved are ready to meet.

@lovely roses I replied to the CIS Ombudsman: "Further to the response to my letter regarding the subject matter, on behalf of myself and others, I accept the invitation to meet with the CIS Ombudsman (acting).
We would definitely like to share our experiences, but most importantly to chart a way forward to improve the process/procedure for Humanitarian Reinstatement. Please let me know how to proceed" I will keep you posted!!

I Am IR2, and my priority day is May 15, 2015. the NVC and uscis aprove my humanitarian reinstatement because my fathers dies. I had a interview before, so I payed my visa, and I had complete my medical examen, so I did everything. In August 4 of this year. NVC send me the aprove of my reinstatement. How time I need to wait for a interview?

@Daniel c Congrats on getting your request for humanitarian reinstatement approved!! That's awesome!! Since you are in the IR-2 visa category, the length of time before getting an interview via the NVC is dependent on the Embassy/ Consulate handling your case. Even then, it is unpredictable. You could try doing an NVC inquiry or check with the specific Embassy.
