For anyone who wants to know the guidelines for filing a spouse on your taxes. My tax preparer had me file married head of house hold, spouse outside of the US. I'm a US citizen.

My wife was advised to do so too and I have been in the USA but I was not 183 days here in the USA

I file mine with filing status married filing separately (MFS) and then NRA name of spouse on the field
