How to pursuade agency on starting date
I got my ead 1 months ago, and my agency is scaring me that they will terminate my i140 if I don’t start right away since they see too many people running away after they received gc.
when I made a contract, they said its up to me whether to start after receiving GC and now they say they never said it.
they also refused that I wanted to talk to the company directly regarding my start date. I will fulfill 1 year contract obiligation for sure, but I don’t want to start till end of the year (school, caring sick person, retrogression, etc.)
What can I possibly tell agency or pursuade(negotiate?) them on my starting date? thank you so much in advance for your support.

@Rebecca Peterson as you said We even can wait to work until GC. what if they ask you the RFE ( paycheck, paystubs) or you get an interview and they ask you about not working for sponsor until now??

@Rebecca Peterson Thanks for the response. So if they ask for j supplement. Should I send them a proof where I am currently working ( not for my sponser)? I heard j supplement should be the same of similar job. i would be greatful if you please provide a clear insight on supplement j. thank you

@Rebecca Peterson i will be completing my msc soon. so good way is to start another degree continue f1 status until GC and start working for sponser. so did you work 1 yr for the sponser or are you still working for them or plan to work until GC?

@Rebecca Peterson @raul lee i have F-1 status, I revived my EAD on October 2022 but I am started using my ead until now July 2023 because my sponsor told me that is better to keep my f1s status until I received my green card, during this time I have mantained my f-1s status but since I started working with the ead my lawyer said that I don’t need to keep an F-1 status anymore.
my questions is there is any interview while I am waiting for my green card. I am in United States and waiting for adjust status
priority date : June 29th 2021
country : Honduras

the lawyer said can takes few years
but anyone know is less years
my case is in Kansas MO.

@EB-3 Uniskilled skills 1 what I know is once you used EAD your f1 is automatically invalid?
