how they process I 485 after vawa approved if I 485 was held in abeyance? did anyone have similar situation
in 2019 my ex and I applied for I130+I485 together, then we got divorced due to the abuse. I filed vawa and requested to put my 485 hold in abeyance. Now my vawa just got approved what’s next ? Did anyone have similar situation ? thanks

Maybe you should apply for a new 485 with medical along. It is usually faster instead of waiting for your old 485. I heard that it may take longer with old 485.

@R m, u dont need to apply for New i-485 once your Vawa is approved it will be sent to NBC for the processing of your pending i-485. This process is automatic , i have my green card through Vawa and this is exacrly what happen to me.

@mari posa , all u have to do is to write your field office or NBC to put i-485 on hold pending the approval of your Vawa.
