i am wondering why did you send new I 1 485? you did not have send them with vawa ?

@sweet lins when did you submit your I485? i am waiting on my vawa approval so i can submit my I485. and wondering how long would that take since submitted separately

@eze Eze every case is different. 3 months After my Vawa was approved, I started to burg USCIS with calls, then it was transferred to NBC a month later got rfe for medical. My green card was approved on the 7th of this month without interview. I’ll advise you call USCIS

@Oma Nma my lawyer doesn’t want to until vawa is approved. i have a double entry related to the abuse. i have asked her and she said is better to have vawa approved first.

@Sandra Dec2021 does your lawyer have doubts about your Vawa approval? I’m advising you to file your I-485 now, because the new administration might not make eligibility for I-485 easy. Wish you all the best!

@Sandra Dec2021 were you married to a citizen? If so, you can submit the application. It's amazing how many immigration lawyers tell their clients nonsense. I was watching Ayesha Chidolue on YouTube when someone asked her when to file for EAD renewal because their lawyer said to wait until 2 weeks before expiration. That's the kind of nonsense they tell their clients when uscis specifically tells people to apply for EAD renewal 6 months before expiration. I agree you should submit before the new administration because they will add public charge rules and education levels and financial status again for qualification like they did the last time

@reigns m how do you manage to get through to a person when you call.?? I keep trying and I can’t get through. mine is also out of processing times. I only managed to do an e-request. but it still didn’t update online.

why are you just filing I-485 now..Vawa got approved over 2years

@naomi bushira I honestly had an in emergency. My mother passed and I really wanted to go home, but I couldn’t because my I-485 was still pending. I politely explained my situation and told the agent why it was very important for me to get my I-485 approved. The agent was very kind and helped me set up an inquiry. Two weeks later my I-485 was transferred, a month later I got an rfe for medical, 36 days after I responded my I-485 was approved. Hope this helps you. Just be honest and explain any hard situation you’re in because of the delay of your pending I-485

@sweet lins I first called 5months after my Vawa was approved and I didn’t hear anything from them. I had a lawyer, but I handled my case like I didn’t. All my calls to USCIS I believe fast tracked my case.

@reigns m I sent it to NBC. In the rfe letter, they’ll tell you where to send your medical to. Yes my I-485 was approved at NBC
